My soon to be ex broke into my email acct, locked me out, and was monitoring emails. He focused on those between me and my current partner. He forwarded all our correspondence to everyone on my email list, with the objective that everyone would think I was cheating on him.....is it illegal to do something like this? If it is, whom do I contact? I can not get into this acct, as he has changed the password, so I can not get my addys, nor can I email everyone to let them know what happened.
Who does one contact to report that their email acct has been hacked? is this illegal?
