my email account was hacked into and mail was deleted. How do I recover my email along with finding out who deleted the mail?

change your password quick.... if who ever hacked into it deleted the messages you can go to "deleted messages" / "trash" and restore them... if they also deleted them from there then there's no way to recover them... sorry...
Reply:Once an email has been deleted and if it's not in the trash folder, there is no way to recover it from the user end. Finding out who did it will be almost impossible.





I would recommend you to change your password to something stronger and harder to guess by someone else. Replace "a" with "@", "o" with "0", "e" with "3", etc.... use multiple combination so your password is harder to guess.





Do not give your password to anybody or write it down anywhere... that's not safe at all...

For the most part all you can do is report the issue, change your passwords and all your security info (including lost password questions etc).





As for recovering your e-mail, well you can't. Unless you got lucky and the person left them in your delete mail box they are gone forever. Call your friends/Family/coworkers and ask them to resend any e-mails they have sent you in the last week. Just to cover your basics.





Depending on how your account was hacked they may never find the person who did it but the e-mail provider will use your case as an example for making e-mail security stronger.
