the account is still active, I just keep getting a rejection with the password. the secondary email account is no longer available, and I don't rememeber the answer to my question. yest I know I'm dumb but there was a lot of important information on there.
Someone tried hacking my yahoo email by requesting a new password. how do I fix the problem?
change your password and your question. if someone is this persistent they must know you personally or know you by you giving them information. It wouldn't be someone random because they wouldn't have a reason. If this is really bugging you, you should email all your friends to tell them you are about to change. If you currently have important info, you should forward it to the new email and delete the current account if you don't want them finding out stuff. If they bother the new account you know it is someone that knows you tring to mess with you. email me if you need any help.

Reply:You keep getting a password rejection because that person has changed your password in an effort to lock you out of your own account.
Try contacting Yahoo! regarding the problem.

Reply:If you can't remember the answer to your question and don't have access to the other account, you are most likely to be "sol" as they say. The only possible recourse is to contact Yahoo directly and maybe you have enough info to convince them. It 's not likely
