Depends upon the laws of your state. It is likely a crime but your local DA is unlikely to press charges unless something more significant happened. It's a petty charge and the cost of prosecution is on the order of several thousand dollars per day.





Change your password and move on.
Reply:You normaly let your net server know what has happened so that they can track down the ip address of who is accessing your e-mail account and then they can help you press the charges for you because it is a violation of your privacy.
