Is hacking someones email or facebook a sin?

I managed to hack my ex gf's email, not to send bad emails or stalk her, but to check whether she was a faithful as she says she was. I don't think she was....but anyway, is it a sin if I hacked her email JUST TO CHECK that? I saw other emails about family and friends but I didn't go in those. Also (not that I did it yet) since I hacked her email, I COULD hack her facebook for the same reason...would that be a sin?

Is hacking someones email or facebook a sin?
Here is my advise,

Yes, it is wrong to get in to people's personal space :) but, If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about to find out what she is upto. I would leave it up to God. He'll let you know what you need to know. what you don't need to know, you don't need to know:)

plus God has plan for you. (For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11 ) You're only 15. Study hard.

You have lots time ahead of you for dating %26amp; romantic relationship God loves you, He cares about you. He has great plan for your life.

Don't let that some of the answers here condemn you or make you feel guilty either.

I wish you all the best. God bless you my friend:)

God bless Report Abuse

Reply:No; just a misdemeanor (seriously). If you change anything on the site, it becomes a first-degree misdemeanor in most states. If you destroy data, it becomes third-degree felony; if you cause someone physical harm as a result of hacking, the charges get worse. Bad idea all 'round.
Reply:Not that I am aware of...

I hacked into my ex's account yesterday... I wish I never did though.

If it were a sin, the punishment would be the result of what you find.

And, back when he actually loved me, he would look into my account a lot. I wasn't the happiest about it, but, it makes sense.

I don't think you did anything wrong

If the answer your conscience gives you is "no" then you are, at best, an amoral person and she's lucky to have gotten rid of you.

The second of the last two commandments given to mankind by Jesus was "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Reply:Yes it is if it's without her permission. Everything is a sin if you are doing it behind their back because you KNOW its bad and you're trying to hide it from someone.
Reply:You deserve what you get.

I hope you find out she was banging your father. The fact that you would breech someone's personal information and then try to justify it with jealosy is pretty telling.
Reply:I wouldn't worry about it being a sin, I'd worry about it being completely immoral and stupid.

And for the record, guessing someones password isn't 'hacking'.
Reply:Yes, you coveted and stole something from her-privacy. It is also lieing. Plus, you have a guilty conscience over it.
Reply:No. If you were doing it to be a jerk or for bad purposes, it would be. She might be upset if she finds out, but it will blow over.
Reply:What you did was illegal. Therefore, yes, it's a sin.

And how would you feel if she invaded your privacy the way you invaded hers?
Reply:Hacking is the same as breaking into someones home, so yeah I would imagine it is a sin.
Reply:It is unethical, a breach of trust, and possibly a criminal action depending on your local laws.
Reply:A sin? No. But it's really creepy and probably illegal. Besides which, if she finds out, you'd better hope God has mercy on you, because I'm sure she won't.
Reply:it is UNETHICAL. don't do it.
Reply:There is no such thing as sin. There is such thing as being a petty, jealous, jackhole.
Reply:Its not a sin, but its extremely psychotic and obsessive behavior!
Reply:Yes, just because you can, it is a personal space that you can see if invited.
Reply:Well, it is if you consider a criminal act to be a sin, lol
Reply:There is no sin.

Jealousy is asinine.

If I were her, you would be out on your butt.
Reply:No, it's not a sin.

It's against the law, though.
Reply:Yes its a sin
Reply:Yes!
Reply:yes
Reply:yes karma is a *****
