Please help me, my email is hacked?

hi there, its about a year back, my email of hotmail was hacked..but now from the last three to four months, he/she is chating with my cousins, my family and saying very wrong things and also chating with my friends...please anybody can help me with this, i also complain in hotmail services and also inform them that he/she is abusing me.. but they need my info. well i create that email around 4 to 5 years back and i dont remember it at all, just what i remember the emails and my contacts in my hotmail email account. but still they need more info. now i dont remember anything...and i dont want to use that email again, i just want to delete or block that email...because now i m fed up...CAN ANYBODY HELP me with this PLEASEEEEEE

if you have the password to this still, change it, then delete it. If you dont want to delete the account, just change ALL the info in it. If you do not have the password, go through Forgot my password. Then delete it. However, if you cannot do any of these contact hotmail and tell them all your information, anything may help. You may need to threaten them, file a few complaints, etc.

I suggest calling this number, and saying that hotmail has not been helpful, and the person on this account is being an imposter of you. Ist that against the law?? I think so.





And if Tucows is NOT the owner of hotmail, they should be able to forward your request, or at least help you find who exactly you need to talk to more directly.

Just tell all your family who are getting the mail from that address,


to block it. i hope u know how to block a mail from certain senders. else just mail me i will tell u how
Reply:A few things, a person is not allowed to slander you, to prove slander, you have to prove a few things:





That they knew it was false


That it caused harm to your reputation


That it was done in a public forum





You can prove all three, and slander is a serious offense, find a lawyer friend to help you out a well worded threatening letter should do it. You can sue for significant damage.





Odds are it's someone you know, noone else would care about your family, it's someone who considers you an enemy.





Notify your cousins or family that they are contacting of what is happening they should be able to help you, you can get information on this guy - what you need is someone in your family that they are chatting with to direct them to a web site where you can get access to track users, preferably one with a low volume so you can recognize the IP address in the traffic, a letter referenceing their IP address and indicating that you are contacting law enforcement regarding this IP address will help.





If they are checking your email, you could also sign them up for every offer on the internet, every pharmacy, every stock trader, every get rich quick site and every mortgage site, they'll get so much spam they won't be able to deal with it.
